ROCKAWAY ...Blessings

Rainbows, waves and sunset bays

Quiet Sundays, bright sun-rays

Drum corp. bands on weekends play

To football cheers and fan stand waves

Fishing lines in summer haze

Sunny mornings, dewy days

Clear, calm waters in the bay

Sailboats floating every way

Firework Fridays, ferry ways,

Riis Park kites and green parades

Pleasant neighbors - family days,

Mosaic whales - where our kids play

“A” trains, shuttles, clear parkways,

Channel drives to cross the bay

Morning tolls that start my day

With scenic routes along the way

Bayview meetings on hot days

Lew's at Waldbaum’s across the way

A Wharf late-lunch on my off-day

Where I sit and watch the wind-surfed bay

The yellow buses - daily fair

Transport the future in our care

The noon-time races in the square

Bring joy and noise that fills the air

Silence frames a starry night

Gardens, pools enhance the site

Neil Simon plays help keep things light

While Beatlemania brought delight

And seagulls sail as they fly by

With planes that roar through winds that cry

Here blue’s the hue of sea and sky

In Rockaway - our blessings fly.

What A Wonderful World

  You’ve Got A Friend

  Get Together

  Shower The People

 The Secret O’ Life

  Wake Up Everybody

   Lean On Me

Pick Yourself Up

  Can’t Smile Without You

  He Ain’t Heavy

  Papa Can You Hear Me

  Count Your Blessings

As Time Goes By

Sunny Skies

   Blowin’ In The Wind

A House Is Not A Home

A thought to be shared...

What do we live for if not to make life less difficult for each other?
